Access Humboldt Launches BOLDtFEST with Exciting Kickoff Party

Access Humboldt is set to launch the inaugural BOLDtFEST with a “Founder’s Party” on September 5 from 18:00 to 20:00 at the Eureka Theater, located at 612 F St., Eureka. This kickoff event will be free to the public and aims to celebrate the beginning of a new short film incubator and festival dedicated to producing ten local short films in Humboldt County.
The evening promises to be lively, featuring live music from the band Young & Lovely, along with opportunities for dancing, food, and beverages. Guests can also participate in various fundraising activities, including a Tombola Wall, which adds a fun twist to the evening.
What to Expect from BOLDtFEST
BOLDtFEST is not just a festival; it encompasses a year-round incubator program designed to nurture filmmakers and foster local talent. The program includes a ten-page screenplay contest, workshops, training sessions, access to studios and equipment, and opportunities for mentorship. It culminates in a prestigious red carpet screening showcasing the ten short films created through the incubator.
Participants in BOLDtFEST will gain invaluable experience and skills that prepare them to produce digital media content for personal expression or commercial endeavors.
By attending the free kickoff party, the public will have the chance to purchase exclusive pre-sale tickets for the inaugural BOLDtFEST screening, which is set to take place in 2026. The funds raised through these pre-sales will directly support the ongoing short film incubator.
Pre-sale tickets include limited VIP options priced at $100, which come with a range of benefits. Additionally, a unique opportunity will be available for individuals to become one of 20 founders of BOLDtFEST, offering lifetime festival founder benefits.
For those interested in learning more about the festival or participating in this exciting initiative, further information can be found on the Access Humboldt website at https://www.accesshumboldt.net/support/boldtfest.
This kickoff event marks a significant step forward for local filmmakers and creatives, promising a vibrant future for digital storytelling in Humboldt County.
