Syracuse University Welcomes New Faculty to Whitman School of Management

The Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University has announced the appointment of five new faculty members, enhancing its commitment to academic excellence and research innovation. Among the new hires is Hyoju Jeong, who will serve as an assistant professor of entrepreneurship.
Dr. Jeong brings extensive expertise in entrepreneurship and strategy, having earned her Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. Her research focuses on mission-driven entrepreneurship and community innovation, particularly how underserved areas, such as rural regions lacking internet access, can establish cooperatives to address vital needs. Additionally, her work examines the impact of government partnerships with large and community banks on small business lending.
Before joining Syracuse, Jeong was a visiting professor at Tulane University. She is set to begin teaching entrepreneurship courses in spring 2026, where she aims to inspire and equip the next generation of business leaders.
