Students in the Palm Beach County School District will benefit from a three-day weekend beginning on October 17, as teachers participate in a work and training day. This professional development opportunity follows the conclusion of the first nine-week term and is scheduled just over two weeks after students enjoyed a fall holiday on October 2.

The upcoming weekend offers a brief reprieve for students and families. Following this break, there will be another day off for students on November 11, which is designated as Veteran’s Day, while teachers will be attending to their professional responsibilities.

As the calendar moves towards the end of November, the Thanksgiving break will commence on November 24 and extend throughout the week, with students returning to classes on December 1. After this holiday, there will be a focused three-week period until the winter break, which starts on December 22 and lasts until January 5, 2026, with classes resuming on January 6.

Looking Ahead to 2025-26 School Year

As the school year progresses, students can anticipate several key dates. Spring break is scheduled to begin on March 16, with classes resuming on March 24. The Memorial Day holiday follows on May 25, leading up to the end of the academic year on May 29.

While the excitement of Halloween is just around the corner, the school year will pass quickly, especially for students, parents, and teachers who continue to rise early for morning classes. The Palm Beach County School District calendar also includes various random days off throughout the academic year, complementing the major holiday breaks.
