Palm Beach Students Enjoy Extended Weekend with Teacher Training Day

Students in the Palm Beach County School District will benefit from a three-day weekend beginning on October 17, 2023. This extended break coincides with a teacher work and training day, scheduled the day after the conclusion of the first nine-week term.

The upcoming break follows the second of two fall holidays that occurred on October 2, providing students with a welcome pause in their academic schedule. After the three-day weekend, there will be no school on November 11 in observance of Veteran’s Day, which will again be a working day for teachers.

School officials have mapped out a busy schedule leading into the Thanksgiving break, which is set to commence on November 24 and extend through the week. Classes will resume on December 1, marking a brief return before the winter holiday begins on December 22. Students will enjoy approximately two weeks off, returning to class on January 6, 2024.

As the school year progresses, the next significant break will be Spring Break, starting on March 16, 2024, with students returning on March 24. Following that, the Memorial Day holiday will be observed on May 25, 2024. The academic year is set to conclude on May 29, 2024.
