Windows 11 Update Introduces Notifications on Secondary Monitors

Enhanced Multi-Monitor Functionality

According to Microsoft, the update, identified as KB5065789, enables users to click the date and time displayed on any monitor to open the notification center. Previously, attempting to access notifications on a secondary monitor resulted in no response, leaving users frustrated. Now, notifications will appear at the top of the screen, with the calendar displayed below, just as they do on the primary monitor.

Microsoft confirmed the new functionality on its support page, stating, “The Notification Center functionality is now available on secondary monitors.” Additionally, this update includes enhancements to the clock display, allowing users to view seconds above the calendar with the August 2025 non-security update, KB5064081.
