Google One Cuts Prices on 2TB Storage and Gemini AI Pro Plans
Google has announced a significant reduction in the prices of its Google One subscriptions, particularly impacting the 2TB storage plan and the Gemini AI Pro tier. This move targets new subscribers, making premium storage and AI-powered tools more accessible at attractive rates.
The annual subscription for the Google One Premium 2TB plan has been slashed from approximately $100 to just $50 for the first year. This offers users access to 2TB of shared storage across services like Google Drive, Photos, and Gmail. In addition to the storage, subscribers will benefit from perks such as Google Store rewards, VPN access, and premium features from Google Workspace.
Exclusive Offers for New Subscribers
For a limited time, new members who subscribe will also enjoy a 50% discount on the Google AI Pro annual plan, which will automatically renew at the standard price once the promotional period ends. This plan provides enhanced access to services such as Gemini 3 Pro, Nano Banana Pro, Deep Research, and the aforementioned 2TB of cloud storage.
The yearly price for the Gemini AI Pro plan, initially $199.99, has seen a nearly 50% price drop for eligible customers. This plan offers premium features, AI assistance for applications like Gmail and Docs, and a suite of productivity tools that can greatly enhance user experience.
Important Considerations for Potential Subscribers
It is crucial for potential subscribers to understand that these offers are exclusively available to new users. Existing subscribers will not be able to take advantage of these discounts. Those interested must visit the official Google One page and sign in with their Google account to select the desired plan. The discounted price will be applied automatically at checkout for first-time subscribers.
Once activated, the discounted rate will remain in effect for a year before reverting to the standard renewal price. Users may cancel their subscriptions at any time to avoid automatic renewal.
With the growing importance of data storage and the increasing role of AI tools in enhancing productivity, the current price reductions may present a compelling opportunity for many users. The low entry cost, combined with the extensive features offered, makes this an appealing option. However, potential subscribers should be aware that they will face standard prices upon renewal. It is advisable to weigh the overall long-term affordability before committing to the premium services offered by Google One and Gemini AI Pro.
