Elyria Calls for Singers to Honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The City of Elyria, Ohio, is inviting local vocalists to participate in a special tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through a community choir performance. This event will take place during the city’s 40th Annual Ruby Red Day of Service on January 19, 2024. Citizens are encouraged to join the Reunion Choir, which promises to be a moving celebration of King’s legacy.

Under the direction of Pastor Gwendolyn Gilmore and with the musical leadership of Tommie D. A final rehearsal is scheduled for January 17 at 1:00 PM at the Rapha Academy, formerly known as Northwood Middle School, located at 700 Gulf Road, Elyria.
