Brush Art Gallery Showcases Member Talent with Holiday Gift Options
The Brush Art Gallery & Studios is hosting its Annual Members Exhibition, showcasing the creative works of artists affiliated with the gallery and the New England Sculptors Association. Open until December 24, 2023, this year’s exhibition features an open call for submissions, encouraging artists to present small works ideal for gift-giving during the holiday season.
Shoppers can take home their purchases starting December 22, allowing plenty of time for holiday gifting. Members of the gallery benefit from a 10% discount on their purchases, making this an attractive opportunity for art enthusiasts seeking unique presents.
The exhibition includes a diverse array of artists, such as Louise Abbott, Elisa Adams, Maureen Baker, and Michael delaVega, among others. This year’s lineup features a total of 32 artists, reflecting a rich tapestry of talent and creativity. Each piece is a testament to the individual artist’s vision, offering something special for every art lover.
Judging and Reception Details
The exhibition is juried by notable figures in the art community. Michael Conway, an art collector and owner of a local insurance agency, serves as one of the jurors. He is an active member of various cultural organizations, including the Whistler House Museum of Art and the Merrimack Repertory Theatre. His involvement highlights the importance of community support for the arts.
Co-juror Carolyn Walsh brings her experience as a former board member of The Brush Art Gallery & Studios and a strong advocate for local nonprofits. She currently serves as the secretary for UMass Lowell’s Learning in Retirement program, furthering her commitment to fostering arts education and appreciation.
A reception will take place on December 13, 2023, from 14:00 to 16:00, providing an opportunity for community members to meet the artists and explore the works on display. For further information, please visit the gallery’s website at www.thebrush.org.
