U.S. Representative Ro Khanna is set to host an education town hall on September 28, 2023, at Cupertino High School. The event will take place from 16:00 to 17:30 in the school’s gymnasium located at 10100 Finch Ave. During the town hall, Khanna will discuss his recent initiatives in Congress and respond to questions from constituents.

The town hall is open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis, allowing local residents to engage directly with their representative. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP via the link provided: http://bit.ly/46GrseE.

Community Events in Cupertino

In addition to the town hall, the Cupertino Village shopping center will celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival on October 4, 2023. This cultural event, honoring Chinese traditions, will occur from 13:00 to 15:00 on the lawn near 99 Ranch Market. Guests can enjoy various activities, including lion dances, martial arts demonstrations, and traditional Chinese dance performances.

Families attending the festival will have the opportunity to participate in a lantern-making craft for children, while supplies last. The event is free and open to the public, requiring no advance registration.

Public Input on Trail Connections

Separately, the Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority is seeking public feedback on future trail connections and amenities in the region. The Authority aims to enhance access between the existing Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve and other protected areas within the Coyote Valley Conservation Program Area. The survey, available in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Vietnamese, is open until September 30, 2023.

The collected data will inform the development of a master plan aimed at creating potential trail connections between the Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve and over 1,500 acres of recently protected valley floor lands to the north and east. Residents can access the survey at http://bit.ly/4nBsH4t.

These community events highlight the ongoing engagement and cultural vibrancy in Cupertino, providing residents with opportunities to connect with their local representatives and participate in cultural festivities.
