Texas A&M Hosts Largest Open House, Aggieland Saturday, in 2026
Texas A&M University will hold its largest campus-wide open house, known as Aggieland Saturday, on February 28, 2026. This free event invites prospective students, families, school groups, and anyone interested in experiencing a day dedicated to the vibrant Aggie culture. Offering a diverse range of activities, Aggieland Saturday promises an engaging introduction to life at Texas A&M.
Registration is required to attend, and the schedule kicks off with the Aggieland Saturday kickoff at 09:00. This session, steeped in tradition, takes place at Rudder Auditorium and features Texas A&M Interim President Tommy Williams, mascot Reveille X, and the Yell Leaders, who will lead a Fightin’ Texas Aggie Yell Practice. Following the kickoff, various tours, college overview sessions, and additional events will start at 09:00, with programming scheduled to conclude by 16:00.
Throughout the day, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about vital topics such as admissions, housing, financial aid, and scholarships. Hundreds of faculty, staff, and students will be available to assist visitors, answer questions, and showcase the extensive resources and opportunities that Texas A&M has to offer.
Engaging Activities and Academic Exploration
Aggieland Saturday features numerous academic programs, including a college fair located in Rudder Exhibit Hall. This central hub will allow prospective students to explore various majors and programs. Those with specific fields of study in mind can benefit from programming tailored to their future colleges or schools. To facilitate movement around campus, free bus transportation will be available throughout the day.
One highlight of the event will be renowned physics professor Dr. Tatiana Erukhimova, who will conduct exciting science demonstrations in the Innovative Learning Classroom Building. Other anticipated activities include performances by the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band, the Corps of Cadets marches, and the Chemistry Road Show. Younger students in grades 7-10 will find specialized programming offered in collaboration with LevelUp Texas.
To enhance the experience, attendees can utilize the Guidebook app, which allows them to create personalized schedules based on academic interests, current grade levels, or specific campus locations. The Appelt Aggieland Visitor Center will also provide 45-minute campus tours, departing every 5-10 minutes until 14:00, with no reservations required.
A Day of Community and Tradition
Organizers recommend that participants review the schedule in advance to make the most of their visit. Aggieland Saturday continues to serve as Texas A&M’s largest recruitment event, drawing thousands of future Aggies and their families eager to engage with the university’s distinct spirit.
