Southern Illinois University Press Hosts Holiday Book Sale
Southern Illinois University Press will conduct a holiday book sale featuring a selection of new and backlist titles. The sale will take place at Morris Library’s Hall of Presidents and Chancellors in Carbondale on December 4 and December 5, 2023, from 08:30 to 17:00 each day.
This event presents an opportunity for book enthusiasts to explore a diverse array of titles. Among the new releases highlighted this year are works that delve into various subjects, promising to appeal to a broad audience. The sale not only supports the university’s publishing efforts but also encourages community engagement through literature.
In addition to new titles, the sale will offer backlist items, allowing attendees to find previously published works that may have been overlooked. This approach caters to both avid readers and those seeking unique gifts during the holiday season.
The holiday book sale aligns with Southern Illinois University Press’s mission to promote scholarship and cultural enrichment. By hosting the event in a prominent location like the Hall of Presidents and Chancellors, the university emphasizes its commitment to fostering a love of reading and learning within the community.
