Oklahoma Universities Shine in National Christian College Rankings
Oklahoma universities have achieved notable recognition in the latest rankings of Christian colleges in the United States. Oklahoma City University (OCU) has secured the impressive position of No. 5 among the top 25 best Christian colleges, according to a ranking released by Niche. This ranking evaluates higher education institutions based on various factors, including academic performance, diversity, athletics, campus life, and overall value.
Top Rankings for Oklahoma City University
In the 2026 Best Christian Colleges rankings, OCU stands out not only for its national placement but also for its strong academic credentials. The university received an overall grade of A- and is rated four stars. In specific categories, OCU earned an A- in academics, an A in diversity, and an A- for campus facilities. Although it scored lower with a B in athletics and party scene, its value was rated B+. Notably, the university’s safety received a lower grade of C+.
In addition to its overall ranking, OCU is also recognized as No. 23 in the Best Colleges for Performing Arts in America and No. 26 in the Best Colleges for Music. Historically affiliated with the United Methodist Church, OCU continues to be a prominent choice for students seeking a quality Christian education.
Oral Roberts University and Others in the Rankings
Following closely, Oral Roberts University (ORU) in Tulsa has been ranked No. 48 among the best Christian colleges in the country. With a B+ overall grade and four stars, ORU ranks No. 5 among colleges in Oklahoma. The university received grades of B in academics and professors, while excelling in diversity with an A+, as well as achieving A grades for student life and safety. However, its party scene was rated C.
ORU is recognized as No. 13 in the Most Conservative Colleges in America and ranks No. 50 for diversity among colleges. Named after the renowned Christian preacher Oral Roberts, the institution continues to attract a diverse student body.
Other Oklahoma Christian colleges have also made the top 100 list, with Mid-America Christian University ranked at No. 64 and Southern Nazarene University at No. 69.
