Jamestown Students Celebrate Graduation at 2025 UND Summer Ceremony

The University of North Dakota (UND) celebrated the graduation of over 500 students during its 104th Summer Commencement ceremony on August 8, 2025. The event took place at the Chester Fritz Performing Arts Center, located in the heart of the campus in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Among the graduates were two students from Jamestown, both of whom achieved significant academic honors.

Jenna Fischer graduated with a Bachelor of General Studies, earning the distinction of summa cum laude. Her dedication and hard work culminated in a degree that reflects her commitment to her education.

In addition, Daniel Lureen received dual degrees: a Bachelor of Arts in social science and a Bachelor of Science in geography, with a second major in environmental studies, both also awarded summa cum laude. This remarkable achievement highlights Lureen’s versatility and academic excellence across multiple disciplines.
