Boston Woman Admits to Fake ‘Vabbing’ Claim for Attention
Cassy, a woman from Boston, has confessed to fabricating a story about her unusual dating strategy called “vabbing” on the reality show My Strange Addiction. Initially claiming she applied her own vaginal fluids to her neck as a natural perfume to attract potential partners, Cassy has now revealed that this was not the case. Instead, she admitted her true addiction was to alcohol, which contributed to her feelings of unhappiness and loneliness.
In a recent video posted on YouTube, Cassy explained her motivations for appearing on the show. She had previously applied to be on various dating programs but faced rejection, which she believed was due to not being perceived as attractive enough. Seeking a way to boost her chances of finding love, she turned to the trending concept of “vabbing.”
Cassy noted, “At that time, I was really desperate to find a boyfriend. And I thought, if I expose myself, if I put myself on TV, that will increase my chances of finding a relationship.” This strategy seemed to work, as she claims to have received significant attention since her episode aired.
After the program, Cassy reported that she began going on multiple dates and created profiles on around a dozen dating apps, leading to over a thousand messages from interested individuals. “Since the episode aired, I’ve been going on breakfast, lunch, dinner dates. Hopefully I can find ‘the one,'” she stated.
Despite the controversy surrounding her fabricated claims, Cassy expressed that she does not feel embarrassed by her actions. She mentioned that she suffers from alexithymia, a condition that affects emotional awareness. This admission raises questions about the authenticity of her feelings regarding her deceptive behavior.
While Cassy maintains that vabbing was the only lie she told during her time on the show, skepticism remains about the overall truthfulness of her narrative. The situation highlights the lengths some individuals may go to in search of companionship, revealing a complex interplay between vulnerability, desperation, and the desire for public attention.
As Cassy continues her search for love, the story serves as a reminder of the challenges many face in the dating world and the sometimes unorthodox methods they may employ to find connections.
