Tesla Celebrates Major 2025 Milestones and Launches Cybercab Production

Tesla has showcased significant achievements from 2025 in a newly released year-in-review video, highlighting advancements in electric vehicles (EVs), energy solutions, and the development of its Robotaxi network. The video, shared on Tesla’s official account on X, emphasizes the company’s commitment to sustainability and outlines its ambitious plans for 2026.

Highlights from 2025

The recap video features an introduction by Elon Musk, who outlines Tesla’s vision for sustainable abundance. Among the key milestones celebrated are the rollout of Full Self-Driving (FSD) version 14, multiple demonstrations of the Optimus robot, and the opening of the Tesla Diner located in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Notably, the video also marks the completion of the world’s first autonomous car delivery and the launch of the Robotaxi network in both Austin and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Throughout the year, Tesla achieved several notable successes. The Model Y retained its title as the best-selling vehicle globally, while the affordability of Teslas improved with the introduction of the Model 3 and Model Y Standard. Additionally, the company rolled out refreshed versions of the Model S and Model X, alongside new variants of the Model Y, including the high-performance Model Y Performance and the six-seat, extended wheelbase Model Y L.

Tesla’s expansion continued as it unveiled the Megablock and expanded its Supercharger Network by 18%. Confirmation of Cybercab Production

In a significant announcement, Tesla confirmed the commencement of Cybercab production in its 2025 recap video. This development sets the stage for mass production of the vehicle in the first half of 2026. During the 2025 Annual Shareholder Meeting, Musk indicated that production would genuinely start around April 2026. He projected that the Cybercab could become Tesla’s highest-volume vehicle, aiming for an annual production rate of approximately 2 million units.

Musk described the design of the Cybercab manufacturing line, stating, “If you’ve seen the design of the Cybercab line, it doesn’t look like a normal car manufacturing line. It looks like a really high-speed consumer electronics line. In fact, the line will move so fast that actually people can’t even get close to it.”
