TCL has announced the launch of three new television models for 2026, including two next-generation RGB mini-LED TVs, aiming to make advanced display technology more accessible. The flagship X11L model is expected to deliver an impressive brightness level of up to 10,000 nits, making it one of the brightest TVs available. This flagship television will succeed the X11K, released in 2025, and will primarily launch in China, with further announcements for the United States and United Kingdom anticipated at the upcoming CES event in January 2026.

The Q9M is positioned as the most budget-friendly option among the new releases, starting at 7,999 yuan (approximately $1,150, £830, or AU$1,700) for the 65-inch variant. TCL’s pricing strategy reflects a commitment to making cutting-edge technology more attainable, a notable shift amid a market that has primarily focused on high-end models.

Innovative Features and Pricing Strategy

The Q10M Ultra, priced at 27,999 yuan (about $3,935, £2,915, or AU$5,960) for the 85-inch model, incorporates advanced RGB LED backlighting technology, ensuring exceptional color accuracy that meets 100% of the BT.2020 color gamut. This model boasts multiple panel sizes, including 98 and 115 inches, with the largest offering up to 9,000 nits of brightness through its impressive 16,848 RGB local dimming zones.

In contrast, the Q9M features a refresh rate of 288Hz and includes 2,880 backlight zones in its largest 98-inch version, achieving a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. Both models aim to compete directly with OLED technology, which has dominated the premium segment for years.

TCL’s X11L series, touted as “the king of TVs,” incorporates the latest SQD mini-LED technology. This innovation utilizes a single white LED per dimming zone, allowing for enhanced brightness and color vibrancy. The X11L is available with up to 20,736 dimming zones, a record for mini-LED TVs, further pushing the boundaries of visual performance.
