Samsung Unveils Details for Galaxy Z TriFold Ahead of Launch

Samsung is poised to introduce its highly anticipated trifold smartphone, named the Galaxy Z TriFold, according to reputable gadget leaker Evan Blass. The device was showcased at the K-Tech Showcase exhibition in October, attracting significant attention due to its innovative design and impressive specifications.

The Galaxy Z TriFold features a 6.5-inch cover display with a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. Once unfolded, the phone reveals a larger 10-inch display that can achieve a maximum brightness of 1,600 nits. This capability positions the device as a strong contender in the competitive smartphone market.

In terms of performance, the Galaxy Z TriFold is expected to be powered by a robust Snapdragon SoC and equipped with a 200-megapixel main camera. Additionally, it will house a substantial 5,437mAh battery, which should enhance its functionality and longevity.

Blass indicated that the phone’s design will feature three panels with varying thicknesses of 3.9mm, 4.0mm, and 4.2mm. When folded, the device could measure as thin as 12.1mm, slightly more compact than Huawei’s 12.8mm trifold model.

Official details from Samsung remain pending. The company has experienced multiple rumored launch dates, but the latest reports suggest a potential unveiling on December 5, 2023, in Korea. The expected price point for the Galaxy Z TriFold is around $3,000, reflecting its advanced features and innovative design.
