Pokémon Go is introducing a vibrant event celebrating Pokémon Pokopia, featuring a costumed Ditto that will run from March 10 to 16, 2024. This event coincides with the final stages of the ongoing Road to Kalos and precedes the global launch of the Pokémon Go Tour: Kalos, scheduled for March 17, 2024. Players can expect a mix of new challenges and familiar Pokémon as the game transitions into its latest themed season, Memories in Motion.

A Sneaky Ditto and Shiny Variants

During the event, Ditto will return to its signature role of disguise, appearing in a costume that features either a hat or a cap. However, players won’t be able to spot Ditto directly in the wild. Instead, it will hide behind various Pokémon, meaning that capturing seemingly ordinary creatures could lead to a surprising reveal. Notably, a Shiny variant of Ditto will also be available for players hunting for rare Pokémon.

The event will feature a range of familiar Pokémon spawns, including starters like Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, alongside Pikachu, Sudowoodo, and Zorua. To enhance the experience, players will benefit from increased XP gains through spinning PokéStops, particularly those visited for the first time.

Raids and Research Opportunities

Raids during this event will include Lapras, Snorlax, and Dragonite in three-star slots. Each of these Pokémon will have Shiny potential and may feature special event backgrounds, adding an extra layer of excitement for participants. As players navigate the end of the Kalos event, checking the Pokémon Go raid schedule is advisable to optimize their raid passes effectively.

In addition to raids, players can engage with various activities such as Timed Research, Collection Challenges, and themed Field Research. A light-hearted touch to the event includes the availability of a free Ditto Eye Mask avatar item in the in-game shop, allowing players to showcase their participation in a playful manner.

This event promises a lighter atmosphere, aligning well with the structured weekly rhythm that the Memories in Motion season seems to be developing. As the excitement builds around Pokopia, players are encouraged to collect the latest Pokémon Go codes before embarking on their hunting adventures.
