iDEAL Semiconductor Partners with Mouser for Global Distribution of SuperQ Devices
iDEAL Semiconductor, a fabless power semiconductor company based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, has entered into a global distribution agreement with Mouser Electronics. This partnership aims to promote the company’s innovative power devices that leverage its proprietary SuperQ technology. The announcement was made on July 24, 2025, coinciding with the commencement of mass production for the first SuperQ-based products, specifically 150 V MOSFETs.
The SuperQ technology represents a significant evolution in the architecture of silicon MOSFETs, marking the first major advancement since the introduction of Superjunction technology over 25 years ago. By delivering substantial efficiency and performance improvements, SuperQ enables power engineers to address the growing demands of contemporary power systems. This advancement maintains the reliability, cost-effectiveness, and supply chain robustness associated with traditional silicon components.
According to Mark Granahan, CEO and co-founder of iDEAL Semiconductor, “Innovation in silicon power semiconductors has stalled for more than a decade, with much of the industry betting on alternative materials. SuperQ upends that trend—delivering unprecedented performance gains from a familiar, scalable, and cost-effective platform. This is the future of silicon, not the end.”
The initial SuperQ devices are designed for various applications including hard-switching, motor control, and synchronous rectification. These applications encompass AI servers, USB power delivery, motor drives, and both AC/DC and DC/DC conversion. The 150 V MOSFETs boast leading specifications such as the industry’s lowest switching charge (Q SW) and output capacitance energy (E OSS), positioning iDEAL to meet the needs of modern power engineering.
Kristin Schuetter, Senior Vice President of Products at Mouser Electronics, emphasized the significance of the SuperQ technology, stating, “SuperQ represents a huge leap forward in what’s possible with silicon power devices. Mouser has an exceptional track record within this sector, and this breakthrough will be extremely valuable to our power engineering customer base.”
The global distribution agreement positions Mouser Electronics to play a pivotal role in bringing these advanced power devices to market. As the semiconductor industry seeks to innovate beyond traditional methods, iDEAL’s SuperQ technology stands out as a promising solution for enhancing energy efficiency across various applications.
