EnGenius Launches EOC620 for Enhanced Mobile Connectivity
EnGenius Technologies Inc. has unveiled the EOC620, an advanced mobile Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) designed specifically for transportation and remote operations. Announced on November 6, 2025, this new addition to the company’s Broadband Outdoor EOC series aims to provide reliable connectivity in dynamic environments, addressing the challenges faced by transportation and logistics companies.
Addressing Wireless Connectivity Challenges
Maintaining consistent wireless connectivity while vehicles are in motion presents significant challenges. Traditional solutions often fall short in terms of outdoor durability, stability of signal during rapid movement, and flexibility in antenna configuration for various vehicle types. The EOC620 is engineered to overcome these hurdles, featuring enterprise-grade performance optimized for mobile applications.
The device operates on a single 5GHz radio, delivering a link capacity of up to 1,200 Mbps and supporting up to 16 devices in Point-to-Multipoint (PtMP) setups. With a transmit power of 26 dBm, the EOC620 ensures reliable long-range coverage, even in motion. Its IP67 weatherproof and dustproof housing makes it suitable for deployment in harsh environments.
Advanced Features for Mobile Deployments
The EOC620 is designed to cater to a wide array of applications, including transportation fleets, public transit systems, and commercial vehicle operations. Its key features include:
– SMA connectors that allow for flexible external antenna configurations tailored to different vehicle platforms.
– Intelligent radio frequency management, including automatic channel selection and dynamic data rate adjustment, to maintain stability as vehicles move.
– Incorporation of 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 technology, which enhances multi-device support through Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output (MU-MIMO) capabilities.
– Centralized management via the SkyPoint NMS and the SkyConnect mobile app, providing tools for deployment, monitoring, and fleet management across all EOC products.
“The EOC620 brings our EOC series to mobile environments,” stated Roger Liu, Executive Vice President at EnGenius Technologies. “Transportation operators require connectivity that is both reliable and durable while on the move. This device allows us to support various applications from backbone networks to last-mile coverage and mobile deployments, making it ideal for remote sites, including mining operations.”
The EOC620 will be available through authorized EnGenius resellers and distribution partners starting in November 2025. For further details regarding product specifications and purchasing information, visit the official EnGenius website.
