Bentley Launches Bentayga Artenara Edition Paying Tribute to Gran Canaria
Bentley has unveiled the new Bentayga Artenara Edition, a special edition that pays homage to the picturesque village of Artenara in Gran Canaria. This latest addition to the Bentayga lineup features distinctive design elements and a range of powertrain options, enhancing both style and performance.
The Artenara Edition draws inspiration from its namesake, which is located at an elevation of 1,200 meters and is recognized as the highest settlement on the island. Close to the iconic Roque Bentayga, the rock formation that influenced the Bentayga name, this edition is designed to be both visually striking and culturally significant.
Distinctive Features and Performance
The new edition showcases a refined exterior, complete with a Mulliner double diamond grille and eye-catching 22-inch wheels featuring a grey painted and polished finish. Unique badges and welcome light projections further enhance its appeal, while body-colored accents replace the traditional bright trim.
Inside, the Artenara Edition offers a tri-color interior scheme that highlights the brand’s luxury ethos. The cabin is adorned with illuminated sill plates and motifs referencing the Roque Bentayga, creating a cohesive theme throughout the vehicle.
Performance-wise, the Bentayga Artenara Edition provides customers with a choice of two engines. The first is a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that delivers 542 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque, enabling acceleration from 0-62 mph in just 4.5 seconds, with a top speed of 180 mph. Alternatively, a plug-in hybrid variant is available, featuring a 3.0-liter engine that produces a combined output of 456 hp and 516 lb-ft. This version accelerates to 62 mph in 5.3 seconds and has a top speed of 158 mph.
The extended wheelbase model is exclusively offered with the V8 engine, while the standard variant is available with both powertrains.
Additional Updates from Bentley
In conjunction with the launch of the Artenara Edition, Bentley has announced several other updates to the Bentayga lineup. Among these is a new Dark Teal paint option and the introduction of a 23-inch Super Lux wheel, available as an upgrade for the Azure, Artenara Edition, and Mulliner EWB models.
Furthermore, Bentley is expanding its Connected Car service to six new markets, including Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, and New Zealand. This move aims to enhance the customer experience by integrating advanced technology into Bentley vehicles.
With these recent developments, Bentley continues to reinforce its commitment to luxury and performance, celebrating its heritage while looking towards the future. The Bentayga Artenara Edition is a testament to the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship and innovation in the automotive industry.
