Families Celebrate at Orlando Science Center’s Noon Year’s Eve Event
On December 31, 2025, families gathered at the Orlando Science Center to celebrate the New Year with an engaging Noon Year’s Eve event. The festivities featured craft activities and live science demonstrations, allowing children and their parents to ring in the new year in a fun and educational environment.
Crafts and Creativity at Noon Year’s Eve
During the event, young attendees like Zoey Williams, age 4, and Lily Setts, age 5, decorated colorful paper crowns. The crafts station buzzed with creativity as families worked together to create festive items, including sparklers. Vicky Xu and her daughter Aria Xu, also 4, were among those crafting, showcasing the event’s emphasis on family bonding through hands-on activities.
Support was readily available as parents assisted their children, like Lily Setts, who received help from her mother while making her crown. Julian Guthrie, another young participant, enjoyed crafting a noise maker with guidance from science presenter Solaris Coton. The excitement was palpable as children, including Kai Tawill, age 2, eagerly engaged in making their own festive noise makers.
Live Science Demonstrations Capture Attention
The Orlando Science Center also showcased its engaging educational programs through live science demonstrations. Angelisse Perez, a science presenter and program designer, captivated the audience with a spectacular fire tornado demonstration during the “Best Of 2025 Live Science Show.” Her energetic presentation highlighted the wonders of science, making complex concepts accessible to young minds.
Audience members watched in awe as Angelisse Perez demonstrated static electricity using a Van de Graaff generator, which caused her hair to stand on end, much to the delight of the children. The combination of crafts and live science shows made for an unforgettable experience, encouraging curiosity and learning in a festive atmosphere.
The Noon Year’s Eve event at the Orlando Science Center provided a unique opportunity for families to celebrate together while fostering a love of science. As the clock approached noon, excitement built, allowing children to experience New Year’s celebrations in a way tailored to their age.
With its blend of creativity and education, the Orlando Science Center continues to be a vital resource for families, inspiring the next generation of scientists and thinkers in a joyful, interactive setting.
