Stephens City Food Pantry Expands Services for Local Families
The **Stephens City United Methodist Church Food Pantry** has announced an expansion of its services, allowing families in need to access food and hygiene supplies more frequently. The pantry will now be open every Tuesday from **11:00 to 15:00** at **5291 Main St.**, providing a convenient drive-through pickup option for community members.
This new initiative enables families to receive assistance up to **twice a month**, a change aimed at alleviating food insecurity in the area. The pantry’s leadership believes this increased frequency will better serve those struggling to meet their basic needs. According to **Kim DeGroot**, who is involved with the pantry, the goal is to ensure that everyone has access to essential resources.
The pantry is part of a broader effort by local organizations to support individuals and families facing economic challenges, especially in light of recent financial pressures. Community members are encouraged to take advantage of this expanded service, which not only includes food items but also hygiene supplies, crucial for maintaining health and well-being.
For more information or to ask questions, interested individuals can reach out to **Kim DeGroot** via email at **[email protected]**. The Stephens City United Methodist Church Food Pantry continues to play an essential role in supporting the community, providing a lifeline for those in need.
