Showers Clear from San Diego, Warmer Weather Expected This Week

Clouds and scattered showers across San Diego County are expected to clear by Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. The rain will taper off from northwest to southeast, with diminishing chances of precipitation into the morning hours. However, forecasters caution that rain may return later in the day and into early Wednesday.

On Tuesday, high temperatures are projected to reach around 79°F near the coast, while inland areas may see temperatures between 80°F and 85°F. In the western valleys, temperatures are expected to range from 83°F to 87°F. Foothill regions could experience highs of 85°F to 90°F, while mountain areas will range from 79°F to 87°F. The desert regions are forecasted to reach highs between 96°F and 100°F.

Meteorologists indicate that temperatures will hover around or slightly below seasonal averages. Coastal low clouds are expected to gradually dissipate as the week progresses.

Forecast for Later in the Week

Looking ahead, drier conditions are anticipated for Thursday and Friday. However, a weak weather system may bring a slight chance of afternoon showers in the mountains on Friday and Saturday. By Sunday, this disturbance is expected to shift eastward, leading to warmer and drier weather as the region heads into the early part of next week.
