Remembering Megan L. Aldinger: A Life of Strength and Resilience
Megan L. Aldinger, born on June 26, 1967, in Cheektowaga, New York, passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of resilience and compassion. She was the daughter of the late Linda (nee Stephan) Aldinger and the late Nelson James Aldinger. Her family, including her sister Janiece Marie Aldinger and brother Thomas Nelson Aldinger, as well as her beloved nephews, Tyler and Tristan, niece Emma Clavin, and great-niece Amora Aldinger, mourn her loss.
Growing up in a rural setting, Megan developed a passion for horses, particularly her horse named Star. This early love for animals would remain a significant aspect of her life. After completing her degree in Secretarial Science at Alfred University, Megan excelled as a legal secretary, showcasing her exceptional shorthand, typing skills, and ability to connect with others. Her career was marked by dedication as she often juggled multiple jobs to support herself.
A Battle with Multiple Sclerosis
Megan’s ambitions faced a significant challenge when she received a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS). Despite the difficulties imposed by the disease, she fought fiercely for her independence and maintained a positive outlook throughout her struggle. Her determination was evident to those who knew her, as she continued to prioritize her relationships with friends and family, always eager to keep up with their lives.
In addition to her love for family, Megan had a special bond with her cat, Jacob, highlighting her affection for animals. The memories she created with caregivers and fellow residents at Havenwood Apartments and Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility reflect the warmth and connection she fostered with those around her.
Legacy of Love and Hope
Megan will be remembered for her quick wit, direct communication style, and engaging conversations that left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. Her spirit was imbued with the hope of a future free from physical limitations, rooted in her faith in Jesus.
As her family and friends come together to celebrate her life, they reflect on the strength and resilience that Megan embodied. Her journey, marked by both struggle and joy, serves as a poignant reminder of the power of love and the human spirit.
