Park City Sets New Record with $70K Raised at Sunrise Shot Ski
On October 11, 2023, over 1,400 people participated in a unique charitable event on Main Street in Park City, Utah, raising more than $70,000 for local community initiatives. The ninth annual Park City Sunrise Shot Ski attracted 1,410 participants, setting a new world record for the largest number of people taking a shot from a communal shot ski simultaneously.
Community Impact and Record-Breaking Achievement
The event, which took place at 14:00, featured participants taking shots of High West Double Rye Whiskey from specially designed shot skis. Organized by the Park City Sunrise Rotary Club in collaboration with High West Distillery, the initiative aims to raise funds for community grants that support over 44 local organizations in Summit County.
Funds raised during the event will be allocated to various community groups, particularly those aligned with the Rotary Club’s focus on promoting peace, supporting education, protecting the environment, and enhancing local economies. The success of the event is attributed to the dedication of volunteers and the generosity of sponsors who contributed to the fundraising efforts.
In addition to raising funds, the event also provided sponsors with promotional opportunities. Donors received various rewards based on their contributions, including custom-designed skis and branded merchandise from High West Distillery.
