Despite the substantial investment, Chen’s decision to sell so soon remains unclear. In an interview with SFGate, he noted the resort’s profitability, stating, “You can make lots of money. After the remodel, we opened July 1, and every single month, I have the revenue of approximately $140,000, and the costs are pretty low. It’s a good business.”
