O’Fallon Community Mourns Passing of Veteran Lenn Dobbins at 94

Lenn Dobbins, a respected member of the O’Fallon, Missouri community, passed away on February 4, 2026, at the age of 94. His death occurred at the Garden View Nursing Facility, where he spent his final days surrounded by care and support.

A Life of Service and Dedication

Born in the Hancock Community near Caraway, Arkansas, Dobbins was the son of Austin and Bertha Dobbins. Throughout his life, he demonstrated a strong sense of patriotism, serving honorably as a combat veteran in the United States Army during the Korean War. His military service was a defining part of his identity, reflecting his commitment to his country.

Following his military career, Dobbins returned home and joined the workforce as a forklift driver at the Randall Company, where he dedicated many years until his retirement. His work ethic and reliability earned him the respect of his colleagues and community.

Faith and Family

In his later years, Dobbins found comfort and community through his faith as a member of the Hackman Road Church of Christ in St. Charles, Missouri, and previously at the Main & 13th Street Church of Christ in Blytheville. He cherished the simple joys of life, including camping on the Spring River, fishing, hunting, and enjoying classic western films alongside old country music.

Dobbins is survived by his daughter, Michele Minton, and her husband, Justin, of St. Peters, Missouri. He is also survived by his grandson, David Minton, and his wife, Katie, who reside in St. Charles, Missouri, along with two great-grandchildren, Lorelei and Cullen Minton.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Mangrum Dobbins, and several siblings, including his brothers Sallee, Eugene, and twin brother Glenn Dobbins, as well as his sister Irene Thompson.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on February 9 at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel, with Elder Cade Couch officiating. The family welcomes friends for visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the service. Following the funeral, burial will take place privately.
