Organizations in Oregon and southwest Washington are invited to nominate their workplaces for the prestigious Top Workplaces award for 2026. This initiative, led by The Oregonian/OregonLive, celebrates companies that cultivate outstanding workplace cultures, recognizing their efforts to enhance employee satisfaction and engagement. Now in its 15th year, the awards will honor exceptional organizations in the region.

Any organization with at least 35 employees is eligible to compete for this accolade. This includes public and private companies, nonprofit organizations, schools, and government agencies. The nomination deadline is set for February 27, 2026, and anyone can submit a nomination.

How to Participate and Survey Process

To nominate a workplace, interested parties can visit oregonlive.com/nominate or call 503-427-1666. There is no cost associated with the nomination process. To qualify as a Top Workplace, companies must have their employees complete a brief 26-question survey, which takes only a few minutes. This survey will be conducted through mid-May 2026.

According to data provided by Energage, the research partner for this project, the surveys will assess workplace culture based on employee feedback. Energage has a wide-reaching presence, conducting similar surveys in 65 markets across the United States, and has gathered insights from over 2 million employees at more than 8,000 organizations in the past year.

The Value of Recognition

“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a celebration of excellence,” stated Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage. “It serves as a reminder of the vital role a people-first workplace experience plays in achieving success.” The significance of these awards is underscored by the previous year’s participation, where over 4,000 organizations in the region were invited to survey their employees. Of those, 115 organizations received recognition for their exemplary workplace cultures.

As the nomination period approaches, organizations are encouraged to highlight their commitment to creating engaging and supportive work environments that attract and retain talent. Recognizing and celebrating these workplaces fosters a sense of community and motivates others to strive for excellence in employee satisfaction.
