A new health-focused eatery named Vita Sana is set to open its doors in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood of Philadelphia this March. Located at 2319 Walnut St, the establishment aims to provide quick and nutritious meals, emphasizing a commitment to fresh, made-from-scratch ingredients. The tagline, “We bring you fast, refreshing nourishment without compromise,” encapsulates the eatery’s mission.

Managing partner Britney Stein highlighted the gap in healthy dining options in the area, stating, “When I came to Philadelphia, I realized to get a fresh salad or to get a smoothie, there wasn’t much in the area. There was a total need for it.” Stein, along with her partners, is passionate about promoting a healthy lifestyle and providing convenient options for those on the go.

Menu Highlights and Collaborations

Vita Sana plans to offer a diverse menu that includes smoothies, juices, and acai bowls using real fruit. Diners can expect salads, sandwiches, wraps, and rice bowls infused with a Mediterranean twist. The establishment will also feature an all-day breakfast menu, showcasing items such as “The Philly Toast,” which consists of toasted sourdough topped with whipped Philadelphia cream cheese, smoked salmon, thinly sliced red onion, and dill. Other breakfast offerings include the “Everyday Veggie Omelet” made with pasture-raised eggs and a “Classic Egg Sandwich” enhanced with sliced avocado and arugula.

For coffee enthusiasts, Vita Sana will serve brews sourced from Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co., a well-regarded roaster based in Florida. Stein remarked on the popularity of Joffrey’s, particularly in the Orlando area, where the company provides coffee for Disney. “The coffee pairs well with everything we offer,” she added.

In an effort to integrate into the local community, Vita Sana plans to collaborate with nearby businesses and gyms, offering products like juices and juice cleanses. This approach aims to foster connections with health-conscious individuals and organizations.

Modern Design and Community Focus

The interior and exterior of Vita Sana will feature a fresh and modern design, crafted by John Sofio of Built Inc. Known for his work on high-profile venues in California, Sofio has infused the eatery with an aesthetic that includes gold accents, contributing to an inviting atmosphere. Stein expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “He really, really does nice work, and we were able to use him for this project, which is awesome. It looks beautiful.”

Stein is eager to engage with the Rittenhouse community, aiming to connect with others who share a passion for nutrition and healthy living. She noted, “I think getting into the industry and meeting new people in our neighborhood, and collaborating with a lot of other local businesses, whether it be through health events or catering, is what I’m excited about.”

Looking ahead, the team behind Vita Sana has ambitions for expansion, hoping to make healthy food more accessible in other areas of the city. For now, they are focused on a successful launch in March 2024. Interested patrons can stay updated by visiting their website and following their social media channels.
