Meghan Markle Showcases Cozy $14M Montecito Mansion on Social Media
Meghan Markle offered a rare look into her and Prince Harry’s home, a luxurious $14.65 million mansion located in Montecito, California. On Friday, the Duchess of Sussex shared a video on her Instagram Story, revealing the elegant decor of their polished living room.
In the video, her beagle, Mamma Mia, was spotted resting on a stylish bouclé chair paired with a coordinating ottoman. The chair was adorned with a neutral pillow, a sheepskin-style throw, and a luxurious brown and cream Hermès blanket, which retails for approximately $2,000. Beside this cozy setup, a sleek black side table held a vibrant arrangement of wildflowers.
Markle noted in her caption that the floral display included delphinium, nigella, and veronica, stating, “With garden roses and Queen Anne’s lace (and a very sleepy Mia). Looking lovely, ladies.” The flowers were presented in a white stone vase featuring the logo of her lifestyle brand, As Ever. Reports indicate that this unique vase was created specifically for the set of her Netflix series, “With Love, Meghan.”
The living room’s atmosphere exudes tranquility, enhanced by rich dark brown wooden floors and French doors draped with flowing cream curtains. These doors open onto an outdoor patio that overlooks the couple’s lush green garden. The serene ambiance is complemented by the sounds of birds chirping and soft jazz music in the background of the video.
Meghan Markle, 44, and Prince Harry, 41, purchased their expansive property in 2020 after stepping back from royal duties and relocating to the United States. The couple now resides there with their two children, Prince Archie, aged 6, and Princess Lilibet, aged 4. Despite their high-profile status, they have largely kept the interior of their home private. Most of their public appearances have taken place in other locations, such as when they filmed their docuseries “Meghan & Harry” in a different California home.
While they have maintained a level of privacy, the couple has occasionally shared glimpses of their residence. In 2021, Markle highlighted their home office in a video promoting her 40×40 initiative, showcasing a handcrafted pine wood dining table from Pottery Barn that serves as her desk, valued at $1,699. Additionally, she featured their parlor in a video for “America’s Got Talent” in 2020, which included contemporary art, coffee table books, and a Diptyque candle.
The Sussexes’ impressive mansion features nine bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, a swimming pool, a tennis court, a tea house, a rose garden, century-old olive trees, and even a two-bedroom guest house along with a children’s cottage.
Markle’s recent social media post not only highlights her home but also reflects her ability to blend personal and professional life, as she continues to build her brand while navigating her role as a public figure and mother.
