Houston Schools Shine in National Rankings, Spring Branch Among Top 25

Houston schools have gained notable recognition in both national and state rankings as of 2026. The Spring Branch Academic Institute has been ranked among the top 25 public elementary and K-12 schools in the United States. In addition to Spring Branch, Carnegie Vanguard High School earned recognition as the fourth-best institution for gifted and talented students in Texas. Two other Houston schools, Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and DeBakey High School for Health Professions, also made waves by being listed among the top 20 public high schools in the state, as reported by the Houston Chronicle.

Additionally, iUniversity Prep ranked eighth among virtual schools, further showcasing the diversity of strong performers in the Houston education system.
