Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Jan Jackson, her son, Kermit John Jackson, and her mother, Katherine Kontopanos. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Pierce, and her beloved granddaughters, Madison Cozart and Ayla Cozart. The family has expressed their deep sorrow and appreciation for the support they have received during this difficult time.

A Trisagion prayer service will be held in her honor at 3:30 PM on Sunday, February 8, at the Norfolk Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, located at 1501 Colonial Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23517. The funeral service will follow the next day at 11:00 AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, situated at 7220 Granby Street, Norfolk, VA 23505.
