Alhamar Caravan No. 4 Hosts Inspiring Marian Rosary Service

The Order of Alhambra’s local group, Alhamar Caravan No. 4, organized a Marian rosary devotion prayer service on September 18, 2023, at the Christ the King Chapel on the campus of King’s College. The event featured music by local artist Geraldine Molitoris, who provided vocals and guitar accompaniment, enhancing the spiritual atmosphere of the gathering.
Prayer Service Highlights and Intentions
The evening commenced with an opening led by Rev. James McGahagan, who initiated the prayer service aimed at honoring the Virgin Mary. Grand Commander Donna Magni articulated the rosary intentions, which included prayers for families with special needs, the ongoing success of the Order of Alhambra, and tribute to their patroness, Our Lady of Fatima.
Members of Alhamar Caravan, including John Brzycki, Marilyn Krall, Sharon Yale, and Michael Young, each led a decade of the Luminous Mysteries of the rosary, fostering a sense of community and shared faith. This collaborative effort underlined the commitment of the caravan to support one another and their mission.
Musical Contributions and Community Engagement
Molitoris captivated attendees with her musical talents, leading several Marian hymns throughout the service. A standout moment came when she performed her original composition, “Love Like You (Oh, Mary),” which resonated deeply with those in attendance, enhancing the overall emotional experience of the evening.
The service concluded with a final blessing from Rev. McGahagan, who expressed gratitude to everyone present for their participation in this meaningful event. The gathering not only reinforced spiritual connections but also highlighted the importance of community support in their shared mission.
The Order of Alhambra, founded in 1904, welcomes Catholic men and women aged 18 and older who are in good standing with their local parishes. This social organization is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities while also commemorating significant Catholic historical places, events, and figures.
For those interested in supporting Alhamar Caravan No. 4, donations can be sent to 17 English St., West Wyoming, PA 18644. Regular meetings take place at 6:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month in the community room at Christ the King Chapel, providing an opportunity for ongoing fellowship and service.
