Alex Cooper Seeks Fan Input for Golden Globes Dress Choice
Alex Cooper, the host of the popular podcast “Call Her Daddy,” is reaching out to her fans for help in selecting her dress for the upcoming 2026 Golden Globe Awards. The ceremony is set to take place on January 11, 2026, at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. With a nomination for Best Podcast, Cooper aims to make a memorable appearance and is considering options ranging from contemporary Gucci designs to vintage Chanel styles.
In a candid video shared on TikTok on January 9, Cooper excitedly expressed her enthusiasm about the nomination while trying on various outfits. She explained, “I was nominated for a Golden Globe this year for ‘Call Her Daddy,’ so I want your help picking my dress with me.” The star showcased several looks, each reflecting different styles and aesthetics.
Cooper began with a striking black Gucci dress featuring a plunging neckline and a glossy crocodile print. “Option one is new Gucci,” she stated, acknowledging that the look did not include any professional styling. “Keep in mind, I don’t have glam or anything on right now,” she added, playfully noting her lack of enhancements.
Following this, she presented a more delicate off-white dress adorned with ruffles. “This is more of a vintagey look,” she remarked, expressing her apprehension about wearing lighter colors due to her current paleness. As she transitioned to a vintage Chanel ivory frock, she commented, “I love it, I just don’t know if it’s as much of a statement as the black.”
The video showcased the evolution of Cooper’s thoughts as she tried on multiple dresses. One of the options she was less enthusiastic about was a strapless ruffled design, which she felt might be impractical for navigating a crowded venue. She also modeled a sleek black Valentino dress, complete with a plunging neckline and thick straps. “I love it so much, but you guys, I would need to push my boobs together a little bit,” she explained, weighing the pros and cons of the revealing design.
Cooper concluded her video with a call to action for her audience, stating, “OK, Daddy gang, you guys need to tell me which dress I’m wearing. You guys know I don’t go to many events like this, so I’m going to the Globes. I’m doing this for you, so pick my dress.” She humorously added, “Pick my Golden Globes dress—because I can’t wear sweatpants :/”
The post has already garnered attention, with fans actively participating by voting for their favorite looks in the comments. Responses varied, with some supporters favoring the bold black option for its confidence, while others appreciated the softer colors that complemented Cooper’s features. “Wait I love the light colors!!!! You look like Amanda Seyfried, I’m obsessed,” one user enthusiastically commented, while another expressed a strong preference for the vintage Chanel option.
As the Golden Globes draw near, Cooper’s engaging approach not only highlights her nomination but also fosters a sense of community among her fans, inviting them to partake in her fashion decision-making process. This interactive strategy reflects a growing trend among public figures who leverage social media to connect with their audience in personal and relatable ways.
