NAMI Offers Support Groups for Mental Health and Addiction
The Northern Shenandoah Valley National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) provides vital support group meetings for adults living with mental health conditions and/or addiction. These meetings are open to individuals regardless of their diagnosis, promoting a welcoming environment for all.
NAMI meetings are scheduled at various locations throughout the region, ensuring accessibility for participants. The following is the current schedule:
Support Group Meeting Schedule
– **Mondays**: 18:30-20:00, weekly at the Our Health Campus in the Shockey Building, located at 301 N. Cameron St., Winchester.
– **Tuesdays**: 18:30-20:00 on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at the Stephens City Mennonite Church, 5540 Valley Pike.
– **Wednesdays**: 16:00-17:30 on the second and fourth Wednesday at the Shenandoah County Parks and Recreation office, located on the lower level at 1195 Hisey Ave., Woodstock.
– **Thursdays**: 18:30-20:00 on the second and fourth Thursday at Calvary Episcopal Church, 11 W. 2nd St., Front Royal.
– **Saturdays (virtual)**: 13:00-14:30. Interested participants can register online at https://tinyurl.com/5aak9py6.
– **Sundays**: 14:30-16:00 on the first Sunday of every month at 1444 Welltown Road, Cleark Brook.
