The Phoenicia Library is hosting free English as a Second Language (ESL) tutoring sessions every Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.. Exhibitions and Cultural Activities
Art enthusiasts can visit the Henry A. Wallace Center at the Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site, located at 4097 Albany Post Road in Hyde Park. Families can participate in the Museum Mates children’s activity series at the Hudson River Maritime Museum in Kingston. This program occurs on the first Saturday and third Thursday of each month at 11 a.m., featuring a mix of crafts, storytelling, and Lego-building activities. For those interested in outdoor activities, Sam’s Point Visitor Center at the Minnewaska State Park Preserve is offering drop-in snowshoe lessons every Saturday from December through March, starting at 10 a.m.. Local Markets and Seasonal Festivities
The Rhinebeck Farmers’ Market has kicked off its 31st season, operating every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the village municipal parking lot at 61 E. Market St.. At the Staatsburgh State Historic Site, visitors can experience “A Gilded Age Christmas,” showcasing lavish decorations in the Beaux-Arts mansion once owned by prominent New York figures Ruth Livingston Mills and Ogden Mills. The Woodstock Artists Association & Museum is hosting the exhibition “Karen Whitman: Cityscape Noir” through January 4, 2026.
