Nobles County Libraries Announce Operating Hours and Programs

The **Nobles County Library** in Worthington and the **Adrian Branch Library** have released their operating hours and upcoming programs for February 2026. Both libraries aim to engage the community through various activities and ensure accessibility for residents.

Library Hours and Holiday Closures

The Nobles County Library, located at **407 12th St., Worthington**, is open Monday through Thursday from **09:00 to 18:00**, Friday from **08:00 to 16:30**, and Saturday from **09:00 to 13:00**. The Adrian Branch Library, situated at **214 Maine Ave., Adrian**, has slightly varied hours, operating from **10:00 to 18:00** on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; **10:00 to 17:00** on Friday; and **10:00 to 13:00** on Saturday. Both libraries will close in observance of **Presidents’ Day** on **February 14** and **February 16**.

Engaging Programs for All Ages

The Worthington Library offers after-school programs designed for various age groups. Participants are responsible for their own transportation, and children must be picked up by **17:15** at the latest. The schedule includes:

– **Wii U Gaming** for grades 4 and up, every Monday from **15:15 to 17:00**.
– **Kids Club** for grades K-5, every Tuesday from **15:30 to 17:00** and Thursday from **15:30 to 17:00**.
– **Story Time** for toddlers to preschoolers, every Wednesday from **10:00 to 11:00**.
– **Just Gurlz** for girls in grades 5 and up, every Wednesday from **15:15 to 17:00**.

The **Winter Reading Program** commenced on **January 1** and will continue through **March 31**. Participants aged 16 and older can request a punch card, aiming to read **12 books or audiobooks** to receive a prize. Each completed punch card allows participants to enter a raffle for the grand prize.

On **February 23**, the **Friends of the Library Book Club** will convene at **18:00** at the **Elks Lodge**, located at **1105 Second Ave., Worthington**, to discuss **”Mount Vernon Love Story: A Novel of George and Martha Washington”** by **Mary Higgins Clark**.

The Adrian Library will host **Story Time** every Tuesday from **10:15 to 11:00** for children up to age 5.

The **Nobles County Art Center**, located in the lower level of the Nobles County Library, is open from **12:00 to 16:00** on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and from **15:00 to 19:00** on Thursdays. A current exhibit titled **“Art Club Favorites”** showcases popular art projects from previous meetings, inviting visitors to vote for their favorite piece. The **Art Club** will meet on **February 26** at **17:30**, with a theme focused on **Hawaii**. Participation is free and all are welcome to join.

The library system will soon add several new titles to its collection. Upcoming books for adults include:
