Credit Union of Colorado Foundation Scholarship Opportunities

In addition to artistic classes, the Credit Union of Colorado Foundation has opened its scholarship application period for the 2026-27 academic year. As of March 1, students from across Colorado can apply for substantial financial assistance, with ten scholarships of $5,000 and five scholarships of $10,000 available. This initiative totals $100,000 in tuition support.

Phil Smith, board chair of the Credit Union of Colorado Foundation and President and CEO of the Credit Union of Colorado, stated, “For more than a decade, Credit Union of Colorado Foundation has provided financial support to college students from communities across the state.” He emphasized that applicants must demonstrate their academic achievements, future goals, and financial need.

The application window runs from March 1 through March 31. Eligible students must be Colorado residents enrolled in or about to enter an accredited community college, college, or four-year university, taking at least 12 credit hours per semester. Applicants should maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale either in high school or during the previous year as undergraduates. Additionally, an essay detailing their financial needs is required.

Scholarship renewals are not automatic; students must reapply each year. More information and access to this year’s application can be found on the Credit Union of Colorado Foundation website at https://www.cuofcofoundation.org/scholarship-application.

This March, both aspiring artists and students seeking financial assistance will find ample opportunities in Canon City, promoting creativity and educational advancement within the community.
