Clemson Community Primary Care Welcomes Back Faculty and Staff
The Clemson Community Primary Care (CCPC), located in Edwards Hall, has officially reopened its doors to faculty and staff as the Fall semester begins at Clemson University. With the return of students and the accompanying campus excitement, the CCPC aims to ensure that health and well-being remain a priority during the busy academic season.
CCPC provides accessible health care services tailored to the needs of faculty, staff, and their families. The center emphasizes convenience, offering sick visits typically available within 24-48 hours and a range of medical services. These include dermatology consultations and one-on-one counseling sessions with registered dietitians.
Health Services and Accessibility
Situated on the first floor of Edwards Hall, the clinic is easily walkable from central campus. As part of its commitment to health care accessibility, CCPC offers annual lab tests at no cost for individuals covered under the state health insurance plan. By scheduling a CU4Health appointment through CCPC, patients could potentially save over $300 in lab fees.
As the flu season approaches, CCPC will begin offering flu vaccine appointments starting in October. The clinic accepts various forms of insurance, including the state health insurance plan, making it easier for community members to receive care without financial strain. To accommodate a broader audience, appointments are also available at two additional Clemson Rural Health (CRH) locations—the Clemson Health Clinic at Walhalla and the Clemson Health Clinic at Orangeburg—alongside Telehealth services.
About Clemson Rural Health
Clemson Rural Health serves as the organizing framework for rural health service delivery and prevention efforts across the state. This initiative encompasses multiple locations, including the Clemson Health Clinic at Walhalla, the Clemson Health Clinic at Orangeburg, and the CCPC, which is home to the Joseph F. Sullivan Center. CRH’s mission is to transform health outcomes in rural and underserved communities by reducing premature mortality, decreasing preventable hospitalizations, and enhancing overall quality of life in these regions.
For those interested in utilizing CCPC’s services, appointments can be requested online, making it easier than ever for faculty and staff to prioritize their health amidst a busy academic environment. With a focus on accessible and quality health care, CCPC stands ready to support the Clemson community as the new semester unfolds.
