Apply Now for the Orr Fellowship 2026 and Shape Indianapolis

The Orr Fellowship is currently accepting applications for its 2026 cohort, specifically targeting graduating seniors who aspire to make a positive impact in Indianapolis. This program, which has successfully partnered with over 270 companies since its inception in 2001, offers a two-year opportunity for recent graduates to engage in business leadership roles within the city.
Fostering Leadership and Innovation
The fellowship is designed for students with a minimum GPA of 3.2 who demonstrate a strong desire to drive change in their communities. According to Xavier Ramirez, the director of recruitment for the Orr Fellowship, the program seeks individuals who are “hungry” and “excited to make change.” This focus on dynamic candidates aims to cultivate business leaders who can contribute to the ongoing development of Indianapolis.
The application process for the fellowship is structured into four stages. It begins with an initial application that requires candidates to submit a resume. This is then followed by network interviews with the executive team, a reception that allows candidates to interact with current fellows and partner companies, and concludes with a finalist day that includes multiple interviews. This thorough selection process ensures that the fellowship attracts and identifies the best candidates for its program.
Building a Supportive Community
Participants in the Orr Fellowship benefit from a robust support network of peers. “We provide you a community of 120 people who are here to support you, to lift you up and to help you achieve your professional dreams,” said Catherine Mizanek, the senior director of engagement. This community aspect is integral to the fellowship, fostering collaboration and shared learning among the fellows.
As the application window opens, prospective candidates are encouraged to consider this unique opportunity to launch their careers while contributing to the growth of Indianapolis. The fellowship not only aims to enhance the professional lives of its fellows but also to enrich the local business landscape through innovation and leadership.
