The celebration promises to create a delightful atmosphere, filling the halls with the sweet aroma of gingerbread and holiday cheer. Sponsored by notable local businesses, including Kennie’s Markets, Mister Ed’s Elephant Museum & Candy Emporium, and RE/MAX of Gettysburg, the event aims to bring together community members and visitors alike.
The Gingerbread Celebration will feature a variety of activities designed for families and individuals. Attendees can expect to see stunning gingerbread creations on display, showcasing the talent and creativity of local bakers. In addition to the gingerbread houses, the holiday market will offer a range of artisan goods, providing a perfect opportunity for holiday shopping.
The Arts Council encourages participants to take part in the gingerbread house decorating competition, where individuals can showcase their skills and compete for prizes. The event is designed not only to celebrate the holiday season but also to support local artists and businesses.
According to Suzanne Christianson, a representative from the Arts Council, the Gingerbread Celebration has become a cherished tradition in Adams County. “We are thrilled to offer this event each year, bringing the community together to celebrate the spirit of the season,” she stated.
The collaboration with local sponsors further enhances the event’s significance, as it highlights the support for local entrepreneurship and arts. Visitors are encouraged to explore the market and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
As the event approaches, the Arts Council has expressed excitement about the participation and engagement from the community. The Gingerbread Celebration not only promises to be a fun-filled experience but also serves as a critical platform for community connection during the holiday season.
The event is expected to draw a large crowd, making it a highlight of the festive calendar in Gettysburg.
