Veeam and HPE Enhance Alliance to Strengthen Data Resilience
Veeam and HPE have expanded their strategic partnership to enhance data resilience for hybrid cloud operations. This initiative, which builds on their earlier collaboration this year, aims to simplify how enterprises protect and recover their data while minimizing risk.
The newly formed alliance will introduce integrated solutions, including enhanced protection for HPE Morpheus VM Essentials software. Veeam’s Chief Revenue Officer, John Jester, emphasized the importance of trust and availability in today’s business landscape, stating, “Our strengthened partnership with HPE gives customers the agility and confidence to protect, recover, and leverage their data, wherever it resides.”
New Integrations and Features
Among the significant advancements is a Veeam native integration plugin for HPE Morpheus VM Essentials. This feature is designed to deliver hypervisor-based image-level backup for virtual machines operating on HPE’s platform. Currently in beta testing, the plugin is anticipated to be generally available by early 2026. The integration aims to provide stronger protection for hybrid workloads, reflecting the growing demand for robust data solutions.
Additionally, HPE has validated its Morpheus Enterprise Software container services as a Veeam-ready solution. This validation is expected to enhance protection for containerized workloads, further solidifying the partnership’s impact on data security.
The alliance also includes expanded integration between HPE’s offerings and the Veeam Data Platform. Businesses will soon be able to deploy the HPE Private Cloud Business Edition alongside Veeam, creating a unified approach to data protection. This integration promises improved data portability and resilience between VMware and VM Essentials, along with faster deployment, streamlined support, and a simpler user experience.
Using the latest version of HPE StoreOnce Catalyst, Veeam’s Data Platform can achieve data reduction ratios of up to 60:1. This enhancement reduces incremental backup limits while increasing restore speeds, which significantly lowers the total cost of ownership for businesses.
Future Developments and Joint Services
In addition to these features, Veeam has introduced support for NVMe in HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000. This update includes new snapshot integrations, allowing for quicker backups and near-instant recovery for critical workloads. The companies are also working on reference architectures aimed at delivering end-to-end immutability across the broader Alletra portfolio, which are expected to be released soon.
The alliance is also set to launch two new joint services: a Data Resilience and Security Posture workshop, and a Disaster Recovery Capability Maturity Analysis offering. These services leverage Veeam’s Data Resiliency Maturity Model (DRMM) to help organizations assess and improve their strategies for cyber resilience.
Patrick Osborne, Senior Vice President of Hybrid Cloud Technology Acceleration at HPE, remarked, “Today’s announcement demonstrates the continuous, deep alignment between HPE and Veeam in removing friction and risk from hybrid cloud and modern application environments.” He added that the partnership aims to deliver exceptional resiliency, operational simplicity, and innovation for customers.
This expanded collaboration between Veeam and HPE underscores the growing importance of data resilience in the evolving landscape of hybrid cloud environments. As organizations increasingly rely on data-driven strategies, such partnerships are crucial in ensuring that businesses can effectively manage and safeguard their information.
