Bay High School in Bay Village, Ohio, recently welcomed 98 new members into its chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) during a ceremony held on November 18, 2025. This event marked the school’s 86th annual induction ceremony, celebrating the academic achievements and leadership qualities of its students.

The National Honor Society has a long-standing tradition at Bay High School, recognizing students who embody the four pillars of NHS: character, scholarship, leadership, and service. These qualities not only highlight academic excellence but also reflect a dedication to making meaningful contributions to both the school and the surrounding community.

Recognizing Excellence in Education

The induction of these 98 students reinforces the importance of academic and personal integrity within the school community. Membership in NHS is regarded as one of the highest honors a high school student can achieve, requiring candidates to excel in all four foundational principles. In their announcement, the school expressed pride in the new inductees, stating, “These students represent the best of Bay High School.”

The induction ceremony serves not only to acknowledge past accomplishments but also to inspire future commitments. As new members join NHS, they pledge to uphold the organization’s standards throughout their high school years and beyond, fostering a legacy of service and leadership.
