President Donald Trump is reported to be in “excellent overall health” following a routine physical evaluation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on July 7, 2023. The assessment was conducted by his physician, Navy Capt. Sean P. Barbabella, and included advanced imaging, laboratory testing, and preventative health assessments performed by a multidisciplinary team of specialists.

In a memorandum addressed to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, Barbabella detailed that the comprehensive laboratory studies conducted during the visit were exceptional. He highlighted that Trump exhibited stable metabolic, hematologic, and cardiac parameters, indicating robust health across multiple systems.

Barbabella stated, “President Trump continues to demonstrate excellent overall health,” emphasizing that the president’s cardiac age is approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age. He noted that Trump maintains a demanding daily schedule without any restrictions, showcasing his physical resilience.

In addition to the routine evaluation, Trump received updated COVID-19 and flu vaccinations as part of his preparations for upcoming international travel. This check-up marks Trump’s second evaluation of the year, following a similar examination in April, when his physician also confirmed that he was in excellent health.

During his visit to Walter Reed, Trump took time to meet with troops, reinforcing his engagement with military personnel. Earlier in July, he was diagnosed with a condition known as chronic venous insufficiency, which affects blood flow in the legs. Despite this diagnosis, Barbabella’s report underscores the president’s overall health status as strong, highlighting his active lifestyle and commitment to maintaining his health.

This latest evaluation reassures supporters and the public regarding Trump’s well-being, especially as he continues to navigate a busy schedule and prepares for future engagements.
