The Trenton Central High School Homecoming event on Saturday, October 14, 2023, celebrated community spirit with a vibrant parade and an impressive football game. The festivities highlighted the school’s traditions and showcased the talents of students and faculty alike.

Grand Marshal and Community Spirit

Serving as grand marshal for the second time in his long career, Dave “Poppy” Sanderson was honored for his dedication as an athletic trainer for the Tornadoes over the past 50 years. His presence served as a reminder of the strong community ties that bind the school and its supporters.

The day was filled with excitement, featuring various performances from cheer squads, dance troupes, and the Trenton High Marching Band, which captivated the audience under the sunny skies. Director Ted Plunkett led the band with skill, further enhancing the festive atmosphere of the occasion.

A Dominant Performance on the Field

On the football field, the Tornadoes delivered a remarkable performance, defeating West Windsor-Plainsboro South with a resounding score of 50-7. The game was a highlight of the day, energizing fans and boosting school spirit.

The event also offered a variety of food and activities, showcasing the culinary talents of the school’s Restaurant & Business School. Students from this program prepared delicious sausage, peppers, and onions sandwiches, contributing to the festive environment.

Additionally, the JROTC demonstrated their commitment to excellence with a high-level performance, embodying the school’s values of discipline and teamwork. The community gathered to support the students, making for a memorable day filled with pride and celebration.

The motorcycle procession, a crowd favorite, added an extra layer of excitement to the parade, further engaging attendees of all ages. Such events not only strengthen the bond among students, faculty, and families but also foster a sense of pride in the achievements of Trenton Central High School.
