Bonmatí triumphed over fellow nominees, including her teammate Mariona Caldentey and England’s Alessia Russo, both of whom contributed significantly to their teams, with Russo playing a crucial role in the Lionesses’ UEFA Women’s Euro victory this summer. Reflecting on her achievement, Bonmatí expressed gratitude and pride, stating, “It’s a source of pride, it was very competitive. I can only thank everyone.
