The United States Marine Band will perform a free concert at the Don Tyson School of Innovation in Springdale, Arkansas, on October 15, 2023, at 19:30. This event, part of the band’s national concert tour, promises to be an exciting showcase of musical talent.

The announcement was made by the Springdale School District on September 15, 2023, highlighting the band’s return to live performances. According to a press release, the concert will feature a diverse program, including traditional band repertoire, well-known marches by John Philip Sousa, contemporary compositions, and both vocal and instrumental solos. A special salute to the Armed Forces will also be included.

Free tickets for the performance will be available starting September 15. Attendees can request up to four tickets each, and seating will be on a general admission basis. Ticket holders are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes before the concert begins to secure their seats. Any remaining seats will be offered to those in the standby line after this time.

Lt. Col. Ryan Nowlin, the band director, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming performance, stating, “We are incredibly excited to continue the tradition of our national concert tour. Musicians of the band are more eager than ever to share their musical talents with audiences live, and in person on this year’s tour.”

This concert not only showcases the talents of the Marine Band but also reinforces the importance of community engagement through music. The U.S. Marine Band, often referred to as “The President’s Own,” has a long-standing tradition of performing for various audiences and events, making this concert a significant cultural occasion for the Springdale community.

Residents and music lovers alike are encouraged to take advantage of this unique opportunity to experience a live performance by one of the nation’s premier musical ensembles.
