Hadley Solomon Advocates for Inclusivity in St. Vrain Valley Schools

Hadley Solomon, a candidate for the St. Vrain Valley School Board in District B, emphasizes the importance of inclusivity and fiscal responsibility in her campaign. With a strong background in education and community advocacy, Solomon aims to address key challenges facing the district, including declining enrollment and the effective use of technology.
Hadley Solomon, 55, has dedicated 16 years to the St. Vrain Valley area, leveraging her experience as a business consultant to foster collaboration and problem-solving in educational settings. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Arizona and has actively participated in various local initiatives. Solomon is a graduate of Leadership St. Vrain and has served as President of Grassroots St. Vrain. Her involvement extends to Parent Advisory Boards at Niwot Elementary and Sunset Middle School, along with her role as chair of the Annual Online Auction Committee for the Niwot High School Education Foundation.
In response to ongoing discussions around the rights of marginalized student groups, Solomon affirms her commitment to supporting students of color, as well as transgender and immigrant students. She advocates for the district to adhere to Colorado’s state policies that protect these groups. Solomon states, “Public schools have a responsibility to educate and protect all students. When students feel safe and respected, they are able to learn and thrive.”
Addressing the issue of fluctuating enrollment, Solomon acknowledges the unique challenges faced by the district. She emphasizes the need for strategic planning shaped by data and community input. “Some schools are under-enrolled, while others are full and need new buildings,” she notes. Solomon suggests innovative solutions, such as implementing K–8 schools and optimizing transportation, to ensure schools remain accessible and financially sustainable.
One of the pressing concerns Solomon identifies is the effective integration of technology in schools. She recognizes that while tools like artificial intelligence can enhance learning, protecting student privacy is paramount. “I would support investing in strong technical services, staff training, and clear policies so students can use technology wisely,” she states. Solomon envisions her role as a board member as one of guidance and responsiveness, ensuring that both safety and opportunities for academic excellence are prioritized.
As the election approaches, Hadley Solomon’s platform resonates with the community’s desire for a school district that values inclusivity and responsible management. Her experience and vision position her as a candidate committed to fostering an environment where every student can succeed.
