Capstone Classical Academy officially dedicated its new campus in southwest Fargo on October 25, 2023. This significant event included a chapel service, a public reception, and tours of the expansive 92,000 square-foot facility located at 6597 43rd St. So. The school first welcomed students in January, after operating classes in multiple temporary locations for over two years.

During the chapel service, Headmaster Paul Fisher reflected on the faith required to launch a capital campaign for a school that had no students or donors at its inception. “By faith, we all told each other, our family and our friends, the story of a school that it could be, although none of us had experienced a day of its existence,” said Fisher.

Capstone Classical Academy is affiliated with Hillsdale College as a K–12 member school, benefiting from its curricular and professional development support. The school’s mission emphasizes engaging students to acquire wisdom, cultivate virtue, and pursue rigorous academic study within a Christian worldview. While the academy exclusively hires Christian educators, it welcomes students of all faiths, encouraging diverse perspectives in the classroom.

At the dedication, founding board member Luke Robson articulated a vision for education that differs from contemporary trends. He argued that many modern educational systems prioritize preparing students for the workforce over nurturing their overall humanity. “The students’ humanity has become secondary to their utility,” Robson stated, holding his young daughter. He expressed that Capstone focuses on transcendental values such as goodness, truth, and beauty.

Currently, Capstone Classical Academy serves 298 students from pre-K through 10th grade. The school anticipates its first senior class will graduate in spring 2028. Ultimately, the facility will accommodate a maximum of 560 students from pre-K to 12th grade, as previously stated by Fisher.

When the new building was inaugurated in January, the library and chapel were still under construction. Those projects have since been completed, enhancing the school’s offerings and facilities for students and faculty alike. The dedication ceremony marks a pivotal moment in the academy’s journey, celebrating not only a new physical space but also the educational philosophy it embodies.
